About Herbert
Built in East Texas. Connected to film, music, education, and technology.
Herbert Midgley is an educator, filmmaker, actor, composer, and speaker based in East Texas. He has taught at Stephen F. Austin State University since 1999 and has worked across music, film, digital media, online education, and emerging technology.
His work moves between the classroom and the production set. He has created independent films, composed original music, built digital learning projects, delivered conference presentations, and taught more than 20,000 students.
